What is Mediumship?
Mediumship is the practice of mediating communication between spirits of the dead and living humans. Mediums serve as a bridge between the physical and spirit worlds.
Types of Mediumship
Mental Mediumship
The medium receives information through thoughts, images, feelings, or words. This is the most common form today.
Physical Mediumship
Spirits produce physical phenomena like sounds, movement of objects, or even visible manifestations. Rare and requires specific conditions.
Trance Mediumship
The medium enters an altered state allowing spirits to speak through them. Different levels from light trance to full trance.
Evidential Mediumship
Good mediums provide "evidence" - specific details only the deceased would know. This might include:
- Names and relationships
- Physical descriptions
- Personality traits
- Specific memories
- Cause of death
- Current family situations
How Mediums Receive Information
- Clairvoyance - Seeing spirits or images
- Clairaudience - Hearing spirit voices
- Clairsentience - Feeling emotions or physical sensations
- Claircognizance - Just knowing information
