Creating Your Space

Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be disturbed. You don't need anything special - just a cushion or chair where you can sit comfortably.

Basic Breath Awareness

Start with simple breath awareness:

  1. Sit comfortably with your spine straight
  2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths
  3. Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm
  4. Focus your attention on the sensation of breathing
  5. When your mind wanders, gently return to the breath

Starting Small

Begin with just 5 minutes a day. Consistency is more important than duration. As you become more comfortable, gradually increase your meditation time.

Common Challenges

It's normal for your mind to wander during meditation. Don't judge yourself when this happens. Simply notice the thought and return to your breath. This act of returning is the practice.
